Team Enigma and The Three Peaks

This weekend saw Team Enigma – a group of esp employees – take on the Welsh Three Peaks, Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen Y Fan.

Starting off just after 4am on Saturday morning, the team headed up the Miners Track towards the peak of Snowdon through thick fog and pouring rain. A few hours later, a soggy but ecstatic team reach the peak with enough time to take a selfie before heading back down.

Cadair Idris was next and with the rain not letting up the team pushed onwards and upwards to reach the peak around 2pm ahead of schedule.

With the journey to Pen Y Fan taking its toll on tired muscles the final peak seemed a daunting prospect, however the team charged through the final barrier to reach the peak and head back down to finish in amazing time – some finishing within 15 hours, but all completing under 15 and ½ hours.

Together Team Enigma tackled over 23 miles and accumulated over 500,000 steps. The Three Peaks destroyed boots, waterproofs, mobile phones and a few muscles, however the team finished with their sense of humour still intact and smiles firmly on all faces.

The Team completed the challenge to raise money for two charities WedAid and Midlands Air Ambulance.

WedAid (1153279) is a local charity which raises money to help change the lives of children in schools or orphanages where the smallest gifts can make the biggest difference.

The formal objectives of the charity are: To advance education, relieve poverty and promote good health of children and young people anywhere in the world, in particular but not exclusively by the provision of money, items and services to schools and orphanages.

Midlands Air Ambulance (1143118) is the charity responsible for funding and operating three air ambulances serving the communities of six Midlands counties: Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands.

What is not widely known is that Midlands Air Ambulance receives no Government or National Lottery funding. Each Midlands Air Ambulance mission costs £2,500 and in excess of £7 million is needed each year to keep its three air ambulances operational, which is donated entirely by the public and local businesses.

You still have time to donate so please give all you can!!!!

esp at ISSA Interclean 2016

ISSA Interclean brings you to the heart of the professional cleaning industry and last week we were one of over 800 exhibitors at the RAI Exhibition Centre in Amsterdam for the latest show. We unveiled our brand new range of dispensers, Origin and the complimentary range of luxury stainless steel dispensers on a double deck stand in Hall 11. From Tuesday 10th May to Friday 13th May, the esp stand team welcomed a range of visitors from existing customers and suppliers to a number of new contacts and clients.

ESP Interclean 2016

The new Origin dispensers from esp are an all-encompassing range covering options from toilet tissue and hand towel units to matching air freshener and bulk fill soap dispensers. Origin is the first of its kind to include economically priced system dispensers within an entry level washroom range. Made from white ABS plastic, these contemporary dispensers are smart enough for everyday washrooms and strong enough for busy commercial facilities, including schools, factories and offices.

The Origin range is produced with no branding to allow for easy personalisation with screen printing options available on orders above 100 dispensers.

More Toilet Rolls Re-invented

Over the last few weeks, we have discovered how some very talented artists can turn empty toilet rolls into wonderful pieces of art. Today, we are sharing the work of Japanese artist Yuken Teruya.

Yuken cuts trees out of paper bays and cardboard toilet rolls. The most fantastic thing is that in each roll, the shape of a tree is created without adding or removing anything, just by cutting out and folding the paper from the roll itself.

Take a look at some of the beautiful designs below:Toilet-Roll-Craft-01 Toilet-Roll-Craft-02 Toilet-Roll-Craft-03

Blackmore Park – The Latest

IMG_0980

Following a successful public consultation at the beginning of March, we will be submitting formal planning application to Malvern Hills District Council within the next few days. The paperwork has finally been completed and we are extremely excited to move into the next stage of the Blackmore Park project.

Our current facilities cover just over 108,000 square feet, which is split between a converting unit, offices and three warehouses. Back in 2007, we started searching for suitable land / premises to amalgamate all areas into one location. The 19 acre site at Blackmore Park in Malvern was purchased in 2013. The new site will consolidate all operations enabling us to continue servicing our current markets whilst also allowing for future development and expansion into new markets.

Isla Buchanan, ESP’s Projects Manager, Matt Tebbatt of One Ltd and Philip Oakley of CPS Build have put together detailed design concepts of how our new facility may look:

World Toilet Day

World Toilet Day Logo

esp are supporting World Toilet Day this Wednesday – 19th November 2014.

Did you know 2.5 billion people across the world do not have access to a clean and safe toilet? The World Toilet Organisation has designated a special day to celebrate the importance of toilets in our lives which serves as a reminder of the struggles faced by billions of people who still lack access to improved sanitation.

To celebrate World Toilet Day and raise awareness for this cause, esp will be giving away ONE free case of TWH200 with every order PLACED on Wednesday 19th November 2014. We would appreciate if, in turn, you donated this free case to a local charity of your choice.
